Volterra
The Hotel Antica Badia is located just outside the medieval walls of the Etruscan city of Volterra, an art city with an atmosphere of more than 3000 years of history.
Various writings are dedicated to this city, many of which narrate its topographic development. Others honor a truly delightful past of events crossing eras and fascinating occurrences until our times.
It is also known as the city of alabaster. Its artistic crafting in workshops offers hand-crafting unique in the world. It is interesting to visit some museums exhibiting works executed in alabaster, and not least, craft workshops still existing where skilled hands create true masterpieces.
